- Big Onion – 1 small size
- Tomato – 1
- Mustard seeds – ¼ tsp.
- Cumin seeds – ¼ tsp
- Curry leaves – 5
- Chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Hing – little bit
- Salt – To taste
- Oil
Preparation:
- Cook the Toor dal with turmeric powder and hing in a pressure cooker.
- In pan pour oil. Add mustard seeds and let it to crackle.
- Add cumin seeds and sauté it a second.
- Now add onion, curry leaves and sauté it till onion gets transparent.
- Now add tomato and cook it till it become soft.
- Add red chilli powder and sauté it for a second.
- Add cooked dal with required water.
- Cook this in high flame for 5 to 10 minutes.
